Visit the viewpoints in the Douro Valley

The miradouros (viewpoints) of the Douro Valley are places where you can stop, take a break, and get in touch with nature. Each viewpoint offers a different perspective of the valley: steep vineyard terraces shaped by centuries of winemaking, quiet villages nestled on the banks of the river, and striking contrasts of light, earth, and water. Whether you visit them at dawn, noon, or sunset, each viewpoint offers a unique atmosphere and unforgettable views.

Many of the best viewpoints in the Douro Valley are easily accessible from Peso da Régua and its surroundings. These picturesque spots are ideal for romantic moments, quiet reflection, photography, or simply enjoying the silence and spaciousness of the landscape. Here you will find sweeping views of the Douro River, hills covered with vineyards, natural viewpoints, and specially equipped miradouros. These are also gorgeous stops during wine tours, hikes, or bike routes.
